The people of Tian Xia are nothing if not diverse. From the shapechanging kitsune to the avian tengus, or from the towering nagaji to the diminutive wayangs, those who dwell in the Dragon Empires cover a wide range of appearance, society, and belief. Even among humanity, by far the most widespread and populous of the Dragon Empires peoples, customs and appearances vary.

The most expansive and commonly encountered people of the Dragon Empires are humans, kitsune, nagaji, samsarans, tengus, and wayangs. While members of the nonhuman races listed can sometimes be found beyond Tian Xia’s borders, they are most common on this continent. Likewise, foreign races like elves, dwarves, gnomes, halflings, half-elves, and half-orcs, while not common in the Dragon Empires, are not entirely unknown there (see Other Races in the Dragon Empires.)
